For the 2024-25 Admissions cycle, applicants can choose to interview on-Grounds in Charlottesville, VA or virtually via Zoom. All interviews will be considered evenly — there is no admissions benefit to on-Grounds vs. virtual interviews.

When you register, let us know if you would like to observe a class on Mondays or Thursdays (space is limited), eat lunch with current students or take a tour of Darden while you are visiting us in Charlottesville.
On-Grounds Interview Dates

An on-Grounds interview day requires travel to Charlottesville, Virginia.
Darden’s interviews are anonymous, which means that your interviewer will not have read your application or resume prior to the interview.
Your interviewer will not come to this interaction with a lot of formed expectations about who you are, your strengths or weaknesses or any other thoughts about your candidacy.
Practice, practice, practice! While our conversational interview approach is intended to give applicant's an opportunity to share their story, there will be a lot you are going to want to accomplish in a relatively limited amount of time. A little practice with your narrative can go a long way!
