Darden Early Action Remote Interview

Following the 7 September 2023 submission deadline, all interviews are now Invitation-only. If you have any questions please email admissionscoordinator@darden.virginia.edu.

Applicants
who apply in the Early Action round have the option to schedule their interview during the open interview period and do not need to wait for an invitation. Please only schedule an interview if you intend to apply by the Early Action deadline of Thursday, 7 September 2023.

For the 2023-24 Admissions cycle, applicants can choose to interview on-Grounds in Charlottesville, VA or virtually/remotely via Zoom. All interviews will be considered evenly — there is no admissions benefit to on-Grounds vs. virtual interviews.

About Early Action Interviews

All open interviews must be scheduled by 7 September (though we recommend scheduling as soon as possible given limited availability).

Your application must be submitted and the application fee paid by the deadline in order to be considered for admission.

Interview times are available on a first-come, first-served basis. More interview times will be added through September; however, interview times are limited. If you are not able to secure a spot at this time, please check back, as more times could become available.

You may be invited to interview following the Early Action deadline.

Interview Tips

  • Interviews are up to 45 minutes in length
  • Darden’s interviews are anonymous, which means that your interviewer will not have read your application or resume prior to the interview.
  • Your interviewer will not come to this interaction with a lot of formed expectations about who you are, your strengths or weaknesses or any other thoughts about your candidacy.
  • Practice, practice, practice! While our conversational interview approach is intended to give applicant's an opportunity to share their story, there will be a lot you are going to want to accomplish in a relatively limited amount of time. A little practice with your narrative can go a long way!
